When a company has no active subscription, it becomes read-only: everything stays visible, but nothing can be created or changed until a plan is chosen.
When it happens
- The trial ends without a plan.
- A cancelled subscription reaches the end of its paid period.
- A payment keeps failing. Before that, the company shows a payment issue and keeps working while the payment is retried for about two weeks.
What read-only means
- You can still view Bookings, reports and receipts, print, and open Billing.
- Creating or changing anything, on the web or in the mobile app, is refused with a message that the company is read-only.
- You can still archive Locations and Resources and deactivate employees, so the company fits a smaller plan before you choose it.
- A banner shows the date after which the company will be archived: 30 days later, or 14 days after a failed payment.
- An archived company keeps all its data, but only the Owner can open it.
Get access back
The Owner chooses a plan under Billing and completes the payment. The company, even an archived one, returns with all its data. Employees see a message to contact the Owner.
Good to know
- Choosing a smaller plan than you use is allowed; adding more stays blocked until you archive the extra Locations or Resources.
- The Owner gets emails before and when a company becomes read-only or archived.
