The Layout is a map of a Location’s Resources. Open it from Resources and switch the view to Layout. Choose the Location and the Layout at the top. The map updates by itself every few seconds.
Read the map
- Available: free now.
- Booked soon: the next Booking starts within the Location’s booking window (24 hours unless your Location sets otherwise).
- In progress: in use. Instead of the status, the Resource may show where its order is, such as Order sent or Ready for pickup.
- ! Needs staff, 🔔 Staff called and 🧾 Bill requested: someone should go to that Resource.
- Inactive: not available for Bookings.
Act on a Resource
- Available: click it to open a Quick booking. Start now creates a Booking in progress straight away; Schedule later books a future time. See Create a Booking.
- Booked soon: see the expected Customer and choose Start this Booking when they arrive.
- In progress: the Active Booking panel shows the Customer, duration and charges. From there you can Take order, Request staff, take payments, Print receipt and finally Mark as completed.
Arrange the map
Owners and Managers choose Edit layout, drag Resources into place, add Resources from Unplaced Resources, and choose Save layout. ＋ New layout adds another map, for example for a terrace.
Good to know
- A Resource can be on one Layout at a time. Resources on no Layout are listed as Unplaced.
- Staff see the Layouts of their own Locations and cannot edit them. Finance and Station Staff do not use the Layout.
- Turn on sound to hear when something needs attention.
