Categories group your Offerings, such as Drinks or Food, so staff find them quickly. Units, such as pcs or kg, are shown next to quantities. Neither ever changes a price.
Categories
- Open Offerings and choose Manage categories.
- Choose ＋ Add category, enter the Category name and add it.
- Use ↑ and ↓ to set the order. It is the order of groups when staff pick Offerings on a Booking or the Layout.
- Pick the category on each Offering, under its details.
The row menu edits a category, or archives it. An archived category stays on the Offerings that already have it, but cannot be chosen again until you reactivate it.
Units
On the Offering, choose a Unit: Piece, Kilogram, Gram, Liter, Milliliter, Meter, Set or Package. A new Product starts as Piece. The unit is shown only for Offerings charged per item, for example 2 pcs.
Good to know
- Offerings without a category appear last, under Other.
- Category names are unique in your company, up to 100 characters.
- Owners and Managers manage categories.
