Tax settings decide how your prices work for the whole company. Only the Owner can change them: open Offerings and choose Tax settings.
Prices with or without tax
- Prices include tax: VAT or GST is part of the price, as in most countries. The Customer pays exactly the price you set.
- Tax is added to prices: prices are before tax, as usual in the United States and Canada. Tax is added on top.
Change the setting
- Choose the new mode under How do your prices work?.
- Choose what happens to your current prices: Convert prices recalculates each price with its own tax rate so Customers keep paying the same; Keep the numbers leaves them as typed, so Customers pay more or less than before. The examples show what will happen.
- Optionally set the Tax name (for example VAT, PDV or GST) and your Tax ID, both shown on receipts.
- Choose Save tax settings and confirm with Change pricing.
Good to know
- Existing Bookings and orders never change: each line keeps the pricing it was created with.
- Each Offering has its own tax rate, and a Location can use a different one. Rates are 0 to 100 with up to two decimals.
- Tax is rounded per line, half up to the cent. The Booking summary shows the net amount, tax by rate and the total.
- On a Booking, each line shows its amount the way your prices work: with tax included, the total and “incl. VAT …”; with tax added, the amount before tax and “+ VAT …” (with your tax name).
- Converting rounds to the cent, so switching back and forth can differ by a cent.
